One of the most typical aspects of Andria's tradition is represented by craftsmanship; here many crafsmen, by processing wood, iron and the famous pietra di Trani with great ability and experience, produce balustrades, bed and objects d'art which are authentic artistic works.

Adopting also new technological methods, carpenters make wooden furniture and manufactured objects of excellent workmanship. The pietra di Trani represents both from the artistic and the economic point of view, a treasure, since it is a very exploited material, from which decorative and artistic objects are made.

From the economic point of view, another important resource is constited by the textile industry specializing in personal underwear, shirts and haute couture. Bakeries offer a variety a local products such as typical specialities of bread, taralli, biscuits and cakes prepared with toasted almonds as, for example, the delicious Mandorlaccio or the Tenerelli (sugared almonds) which are unique in the world.
